November 2009 Winner

Thanks to all who entered November's caption competition!

Some people decided to enter their captions 'by the book'...

"The Marquis of Queensbury enlists his wife and friends to test his new form of entertainment for the masses"

"Of course we'll be playing by the Marchioness of Queensbury rules"

There was some interesting observation and lateral thinking...

"How dare you put a milk jelly on top of my husband's head?!"

"In the old days they didn't quite understand how 'spot the difference' was supposed to work"

And the large mug in the picture was inspirational for many...

"If my extremely large ungainly coffee mugs do not catch on then my name is not Marie Starbucks"

"Emily only commented that Edith had a big old ugly mug, and the rest was history!"

However, the winner chosen is Kevin Lake, whose rather obscure caption gave us a chuckle:

"The invisible dog loved the water but he certainly made the drying process a challenge"

The runner up chosen is Alistair Richardson with his caption:

"The Calzaghie family album was not your typical portrait collection"
